Greta is one of the San Francisco Bay area's best known and most highly regarded wedding photographers. Her goal is to produce natural looking images that capture the emotions of the day. She is unobtrusive, watching for the peak moments of action and all the tender sweet interactions.

The studio specialty is photojournalism which is a natural approach to the wedding day telling the story as it really happened. Balancing photojournalistic images are classic portraits of the bride, groom, and their families. Greta is comfortable and fun to be with so you feel at ease. As a result, her portraits are not stiff but show relaxed, happy expressions.

Whether photographing portraits or photojournalism, Greta always looks for beautiful lighting and backgrounds to give a warm natural glow to the images.

Your photo coverage will be custom designed to suit your taste and your event. Clients enjoy the wide range of choices that Greta provides. Images are taken in black and white, color, and black and white infrared. Also offered is hand tinting and digital retouching.

You will have images which capture all the little details, important family heirloom portraits, and all the action of the day from the dressing room through the ceremony and reception or banquet.

Greta Heintz is one of the longest established photographers in Contra Costa County having photographed weddings for over 20 years. She has been a Certified Professional Photographer for over 10 years which is an award given by Professional Photographers of America. She is nationally and regionally known among her wedding photography peers having won awards in international competition. Greta has also been a national and state speaker and print competition judge for professional photography associations.

Greta is a member of and adheres to the code of ethics of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of California, Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area, and Northern California Professional Photographers. She attends meetings and conventions both as a speaker and to listen to other photographers from all over the world in order to gain new inspiration and ideas to bring back and enrich the images she produces for her clients.

Greta was a dancer with the Buffalo Dance Theater company for 5 years performing on stage and television which gives Greta a flair for body positioning, design, and sense of movement in her photos.
